Junior Buyer
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Junior Buyer for an opportunity in Chula Vista, CA.
Manages entire procurement process including sourcing, purchasing, and resolving post-delivery issues from domestic and international suppliers. Works purchase requisitions within days to process goal. Determines whether parts are sole-source or competitively bid based on engineering. Requests quotes from suppliers. Performs supplier quote analysis, down-selects the awarded supplier, and justifies purchases prices as being fair and reasonable. Places, monitors, and maintains purchase orders and scheduling agreements that meet annual quality, delivery, and cost expectations. Actively works MRP Exception Codes to support customer needs and inventory business plan. Resolves quality and invoices issues as they arise. Monitors and manages supplier performance levels. Statuses customer delinquencies during weekly management-level meeting. Understands contractual language and ensures contractual compliance. Prepares and presents procurement packages. Relays pertinent information to internal customers. Additional tasks and activities as required by Leadership.
Experience:
Recent graduates being considered. 2 years of experience required if Bachelor has not been completed. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required; Access preferred). Demonstrated history of adhering to high compliance and ethical standards (training will be provided). Creative problem solving skills to resolve customer shortages and supply chain issues. Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment. Excellent communication and organization skills with the ability to achieve goals/expectations with minimal oversight.
