ob Description:
Inspects products manufactured or processed by private companies for government use to ensure compliance with contract specifications by performing the following duties.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of AIM and supplier produced product, materials and tooling in all work centers
- Document non-conformities on AIM rejection tags and inspection pick-up forms
- Document First Article Inspections, revisions, etc.
- Perform computer functions as necessary to track accepted parts to various work centers within AIM's material and manufacturing system
- Monitor AQS.SPC activities as necessary
- Provide information and assistance to production and supervisory personnel as well as occasional interaction with vendors and customers in their efforts to produce quality product.
- Review and approve packaging procedures and prepare AIM Certificate of Conformance
- Audit installation kits in final inspection prior to shipping
- Document compliance with customer and/or regulatory procedures and quality plans
- Provide training and/or assistance to other inspectors in the use of procedures or tools
- May be required to train and/or mentor new inspectors and provide feedback to QA Manager

Level 3:
Meet all requirements for Level 2 Inspector
Advanced tool inspection skills
Familiar with digital, electronic inspection media
Limited material review authority (MRB)
Able to support inspection functions in all work centers
Education and/or Experience:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
