Assistant Project Engineer

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Assistant Project Engineer with engineering experience and project management experience for an opportunity in Savannah, GA.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning, organizing and conducting segments of engineering projects with diversified technical requirements.
• Defines project work scope, develops statements of work, task descriptions, product plans, budget estimates and manpower requirements.
• Assigns tasks to functional personnel and suppliers for specific projects and provides the necessary project direction to meet schedules and fulfill requirements.
• Provides project management between engineering sections and all related functions including program management, other departments, suppliers, consultants, and customers.
• Anticipates problems with assigned projects (technical, budget, schedule) and recommends appropriate action to prevent their occurrence.
• Effectively reports to management on key project accomplishments, status, issues and budget.
• Approves project related engineering data to assure compliance with corporate policies and FAA/military requirements as required. instructing or mentoring junior mechanics.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree Engineering or related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• Five (5) years Engineering experience.
• One (1) year Project management experience.
• Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 years for Masters and 4 years for PhD in fields applicable to this job.
• Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
• Must be willing to work any shift.
• Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
