Structural Analysis – Stress /DADT/Dynamics/FEA/FEM
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Structural Engineers for an opportunity in Marietta, Georgia.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Structural analysis in support of aerospace structures.
- Primary role is design of structural detail parts, assemblies and installations, but may support equipment and systems installations as well.
- Engineer shall be responsible for development of layouts, preparation of engineering drawings and coordination of related activities.
- Candidate must be able to coordinate efforts with little or no supervision across a wide range of functional organizations such as Planning, Tooling, Stress, M&P, R&M, Manufacturing, and other Installation Design teams (ECS, Hydraulic, Harness, Subsystems) to ensure that designs meet customer and derived requirements.
- Layouts, studies, new drawings, revised existing drawings, and ECNs (Engineering Change Notices) will use Catia V5 and require a strong understanding of GD&T and Interchangeability.
- Although the primary assignment will be to support retrofit designs, could also support mod line issues, production floor support, and field requests and repairs.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Candidate must have aerospace design experience with knowledge of configuration management techniques, drafting/drawing conventions, and aerospace specifications and procedures.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- BS + 4-8 years, MS + 2-6 years.
- Secret clearance required for program.
- 5 year investigation required
- Have the ability to work any shift and/or weekend as directed by operation requirements.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
