LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Buyer for an opportunity in Fort Worth, TX.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

ummary: Operations Buyer/Planner
The Buyer/Planner is a professional responsible for all tactical operations supply chain functions in support of the business unit, including; demand validation, purchase order (p.o.) creation, p.o management, and delivery assurance and exception message management.
Operations Buyer/Planner will actively participate in the Production operations of the Fort Worth manufacturing facility. Some of the primary responsibilities of this position include:
o Support production initiatives around standard work
o Creation and deployment of Production line standard work for new utility positions
o Training documentation for new processes implementation
o Development and support of Production training of operations

Other Responsibilities:
• Ensure uninterrupted flow of material to support manufacturing and customer OTD
• Review purchase requisitions against the master production schedule to validate demand
• Create p.o. in accordance with requisitions and contractual requirements
• Expedite material as needed; negotiating and working changes within supply base through the Change Board process
• Ensure inventory goals and objectives are met
• Negotiate with suppliers as required for reschedules in support of inventory and business objectives
• Assist the Supplier Performance evaluation process
• Interface with Supplier Quality personnel to ensure supplier performance Basic Qualifications:
• Developed professional able to work with minimum guidance
• Has significant knowledge of the discipline and role
• Expertise in MRP systems, preferably SAP with understanding of Procurement parameters and usage
• Can identify risks that affect supply and delivery
This position is for professionals with credentials in Supply Chain\Production Planning with three to five years of experience.

Education: BS or equivalent experience w/ 3+ years' experience in supply chain/Production Control preferably in the aerospace industry. Pay is commensurate with education/experience.
