Safety Specialist

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Safety Specialist for an opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia.

Qualifications:

• Must be passionate about creating a safe environment for Company employees and customers  Must be energetic, innovative and able to work in fast paced, dynamic team environment
• Must have strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Must be proficient with databases and programs, such as Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees
• Highly Preferred: Experience with injury databases and with OSHA/BLS reporting
• Highly Preferred: Experience working with Safety and/or Quality program
• Highly Preferred: Experience with Worker Compensation programs
• Highly Preferred: Experience with Airliner Operations (Cabin, Ground, Flight, Maintenance)
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Safety Specialist is responsible for the processing of employee injury cases, ground damages cases, and hazard reports within Company's Safety, Quality and Risk Management databases.
• This includes the initial acceptance, investigation management, and final quality checks before a case is closed.
• This role supports divisional safety leaders and frontline leaders regarding all facets of safety event case management. This role will also require interfacing with risk management and worker’s compensation personnel to ensure proper recordkeeping.
• The role is also responsible for recommending enhancements to Company's Safety, Quality, and Risk Management database to ensure a user-friendly experience.
• Lastly, this role is responsible to generate queries and reports associated with injury recordkeeping, injury case management and ground damage management; this includes creating and updating reports for regulatory agencies (routine BLS and OSHA reports) and routine safety management sessions.
