Maintenance Engineer
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for an opportunity in Moses Lake, WA.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the RR Technical Representative on matters relating to the Aircraft maintenance and continued Airworthiness of the aircraft and parts associated.
- Advise on matters relating to FAA Regulations and their impact on the operation/ maintenance and Air Worthiness of the aircraft.
- Oversee Modifiers Bridge Check activities to insure optimal integration.
- On behalf of RR, negotiate and approve over and above Labor and Materials when the aircraft is undergoing heavy maintenance/Bridging during Modification at the Modifier’s Base.
- Oversee maintenance operations in the adherence to applicable of Aircraft and Engine Airworthiness Directives and Mandatory RR Service Bulletins to the aircraft.
- Manage the purchase of material and re-certification of Rotable Components.
- Help to identify appropriate replacement aircraft and engine parts or component Part numbers following review of Aircraft and Engine Illustrated Parts Catalogue configuration codes, effectivity codes and Service Bulletins.
- Source Aircraft and Engine parts negotiate best price and place orders to minimize any impact with scheduled Modification timeline.
- Arrange and place orders, if the Modifier cannot provide for support services including Borescope Inspections, NDT Inspections, Calibration, Repairs, Oil/Fuel sample analysis, subcontract manufacture, subcontract A&P labor and equipment rental.
- Maintain log of all orders and manage total costs within agreed budget
- Maintain log of Approved Over and Above hours from Modifier’s Invoices to enable reconciliation of monthly invoices.
- Arrange shipping, dispatch and receipt of parts and material being charged to RR, in conjunction with the aircraft maintenance organization.
- Provide and maintain All necessary (up to date) Boeing and Rolls-Royce Document Manuals to Modifier/Maintenance.
- Monitor and control “Removed Components” that will no longer be installed on the Aircraft for disposal/future use or as spare parts inventory.
- Manage procurement of Components and material through RR Purchasing Processes (COUPA).
- Manage access to MyBoeingFleet.
Qualifications and requirements:
- IT proficiency: MS Office, view project plans, COUPA, FEDEX portal
- Based in Moses Lake, WA for up to 24 months.
- Reporting in project to FTB Program Manager
- Report in Country to FTB Manager
- Must be a US Citizen, and able to obtain and maintain a DSS security clearance.
Must pass an DOT/FAA Pre-employment Drug Screen
Must clear a background check with no felonies
High School Graduate or equivalent required
