Avionics Liaison Engineer

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Avionics Liaison Engineer with experience with aircraft manuals and implementing aircraft procedures for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Oversee the development, design and production of repair, modification, process and inspection documentation in support of Airlines' worldwide maintenance activities as a liaison engineer.
  • Evaluate and interpret AD, FAR, and Airline policy requirements to ensure compliance in the engineering documentation. Aid in analyzing and correcting problems which hamper the maintenance support activities.
  • Understand airline operations and pace while providing solutions for a safe aircraft operation.
  • Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
  • Four year accredited undergraduate engineering degree (Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical) required.
  • On a case-by-case basis, consideration for experience can replace an engineering degree.
  • Requires working odd hours and/or weekends(shift work) based on operational requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be able to provide support during the scheduled work hours and be on-time.
  • Must have minimum of 3-yrs of engineering experience.
  • Problem-solving background with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of maintenance and engineering.
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to perform and excel in a stressful environment with short deadlines.

      • Previous experience with one or more of the following systems: pneumatics, hydraulics, air conditioning, landing gear, water/waste, avionics, cabin furnishings
  • Previous experience with troubleshooting systems
  • Knowledge in navigating and understanding OEM Maintenance manuals.
  • Soft skills needed that may be unique to your group (i.e. flexible, resourceful, team player, etc.)
  • Problem-solving background with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of maintenance and engineering. 
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to perform and excel in a stressful environment with short deadlines.


Responsibilities:

  • Strong background in repair analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Possess the ability to create substantiation reports in support of aircraft airworthiness.
  • Should be able to comprehend and be knowledgeable in FAA regulations.
  • Should possess a thorough understanding of maintenance requirements, processes, and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel) and AutoCAD (Solid Works or similar CAD software).
  • Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.
  • Previous ODA and/or DER type of experience is desired
  • Previous liaison engineering or MRB experience Line Liaison Engineering (3 Positions-Aerospace, Mechanical Systems, Electrical)
  • Minimum 3 year of experience providing engineering support for line aircraft and live aircraft operations.
  • At least 2 years of specific experience in the design and analysis of aircraft structural repairs*. *Systems/electrical engineering experience can be substituted for structural experience for this role.
  • Previous experience with one or more of the following systems: pneumatics, hydraulics, air conditioning, landing gear, water/waste, avionics, cabin furnishings
  • Previous experience with troubleshooting systems
  • Knowledge in navigating and understanding OEM standard wiring practice manuals.
  • Previous experience with OEM wiring drawings.
