Liaison Engineer
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Liaison Engineer for an opportunity in Pensacola, FL.
Job Description
- Research, analyze, and design repairs for structural defects, corrosion, or service damage to an aircraft.
- Research and recommend material substitution and alternate production methods as the may be necessary.
- Assist aircraft mechanics in evaluating the best course of action for a repair and to assist in the interpretation of the aircraft manufacturer’s repair manuals, drawings and other repair instructions and those of various other OEMs.
- Liaison with the aircraft manufacturers’ and customers’ engineering departments during the submission of and concurrence on proposed repairs as well as customer representatives, Inspection, FAA representatives, and outside service providers.
- Generate clear instructions for work accomplishment.
Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience in one or more of the following commercial airframe types: B737, B747, B757, B767, B777, B787, DC9/MD-80 Series, MD-90, MD-95/717, DC-10, MD-11, A300 E170, E190
- Familiar with the structural design philosophy and primary and secondary structural element repair methodology for Boeing, Douglas, Embraer, or Airbus commercial aircraft
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering preferred
