R&D Transfer Tech
We are a industry leader manufacturer of catheters and implantable devices used for all parts of the body. We have two sites, Lake Zurich and North Barrington. Lake Zurich is the primary manufacturing plant where our people will be working. They are in need of a 1st Shift R&D Transfer Tech. Hours are from 7AM to 3:30PM, Monday through Friday, with little to no OT(max of 5 hours). Pay range is from $18 to $22p/hour. Below are the main things they're looking for:
• Responsible to follow Medical Murray Quality system, including all applicable SOP's included in the Training Matrix
• Produce small assembled parts according to procedures (both verbal and written)
• Run equipment such as adhesive dispenser, vertical shrinker, braider, tipping machines, drilling, punching and measuring devices to assemble catheters and parts
• Maintain written record of materials used, procedures followed and inspection features on supplied data forms (LHR, etc.)
• Advise others of the need for repairs and upgrading of manufacturing equipment
• Support Equipment Coordinator with equipment maintenance
• Keep track of materials, tools and procedures as the device is manufactured. Affirm incoming materials meet purchase order specification
• Audit samples of in-process and final product to ensure they meet product specifications and drawings
• Identify defects and communicate these defects to the project leader for the product
• Support engineer project leader with modifications in written procedures and suggested improvements in making product or sub-assemblies
• Perform testing of devices or components in accordance with written protocols and test procedures
• Recognize and mitigate potential problems. Make recommendations for correction
• Ability to train others and guide their work
• Some travel may be required to support transfer activities between various locations
Their Quality & Maintenance Director will be performing the interviews. Promised 24 hour feedback from interview or sooner.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Work mostly on feet or at a bench utilizing a microscope for assembly
- Have a good basic level of mechanical ability
