Forging Operator

We are currently looking to hire forging operators for our 3rd shift manufacturing facility in Carol Stream, IL. The positions pay 16.80/hour to start and can interview and start ASAP! These are all direct opportunties with full benefits!

Job Responsibilities:

• Works in a two to three person team to forge and trim parts for use in automobile hub bearing units
• Reads job instructions to produce specified values including basic mathematical calculations
• Operates and adjusts forge press according to guidelines and in a safe manner
• Sets up and uses machine interfaces to operate a forging press, trimming press, electric billet furnace and billet hopper
• Performs tooling changes of forging and trimming presses
• Checks and maintains fluid levels of line equipment
• Performs daily PM’s and 5S of forging line equipment and the line area
• Accurately completes quality and production control documents
• Reads tooling and part blue prints
• Uses gauges to accurately measure and verify proper part dimensions
• This position requires a combination of sitting, standing and walking for an entire eight to twelve hour shift

Job Requirements: 

• Focus on safety Forklift experience and experience in a manufacturing environment
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in manufacturing and or mechanically inclined
• Knowledge of basic machine operation / controls
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment
• Ability to trouble shoot processes and line equipment
• Capable of working in challenging work conditions
• Physically fit / capable of lifting up to 75lbs
• Forging experience
• Mechanical experience/Mechanically inclined
• Ability to work unsupervised and lead a 2 to 3 person production team
