Calibration Technician

We are currently looking to hire a full time calibration technician for our manufacturing facility in Addison, IL. This is a full time permanent position that pays 45K-55K to start and is on 1st shift. 

Candidates MUST have 5+ years of calibration and quality experience from manufacturing to qualify. 

Coordinate in-house and out-sourced calibrations for purchased standard measurement equipment and special made gages used in machining and assembly.

Gathers gages from shop floor and central locations for pickup by the external metrology provider.

Monitors gages not in use and secures from unintended use.

Issues measurement gages from the gage control room.

Participate in metrology related audits.

Assist with the purchase and setup of test gages and equipment.

Maintain calibration software program.

Maintain calibration hard copy files when necessary.

Report out tolerance gages to Quality Manager and perform impact assessment.

Technical writing of calibration procedures.

Manage gage needs for all incoming and in-process inspection.

Monitor all gages loaned to suppliers and report constraints. Facilitate recalibration of loaned gages.

Computes total annual gage failure rate.

Determines thresholds for economical repair of gages.

Crosstrain and perform all duties outlined in the Quality Assurance Inspector job description.
