LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Sawyers for a position in Arlington, WA

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Sawyer Operates saw equipment and performs all necessary job functions to monitor and produce quality parts within time standards and per customer request.

• Operation of machine after start to ensure proper loading.  Stop machine at detection of a machine, blade or quality issue.
• Perform work instructions and standard work, and follow directions.
• Verify part conformance using standard measuring tools.
• Ability to read and interpret drawing.
• Meet all predetermined job times and communicate to appropriate personal when questions, problems with equipment/machine.
• Recognize production problems and concerns.
• Under supervision learn how to adjust saw speeds and feeds for various materials.
• Performs proper time recording in Vista system.
• Follow all safety and equipment guidelines.
• Perform typical machine shop operations.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
• Perform inspection of machined products (including documentation of results).
• Issue material to jobs with accurate data entry
• Perform all other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications and requirement:

• Basic mechanical ability
• Ability to accomplish tasks and follow directions without deviation from procedures.
• Requires a high school diploma/GED or proven work history
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Minimum 2 year of related experience desired.
• Must have working command of the English language, and be able to communicate orally and in writing (basic oral instructions, simple written memos and instructions).
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use basic hand held measuring tools.
