GSE Mechanic
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a GSE Mechanic for an opportunity in Goodyear, AZ.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
To service and maintain, keeping in good order all Ground Service Equipment vehicles this station. To keep service agency with safe and reliable equipment that meets all local and governing laws.
- Operate and drive all types of equipment – motorized and non-motorized
- Perform and show competence in preventive maintenance per established schedules on all ground support equipment
- Learn trouble-shooting and diagnostic assessment of ground support equipment as required
- Learn repairs and procedures to maintain all ground support equipment.
- Remove malfunctioning ground support equipment from service and ensure GSE is not returned to service until malfunction has been properly diagnosed and repaired
- Own and demonstrate proper use of tools, diagnostic equipment, etc. required for equipment maintenance and repair
- Complete all maintenance/repair documentation consistent with carrier, station, airport authority, municipal, state, federal and SP requirements
- Comply with all federal, provincial, municipal, airport authority and carrier security requirements
- Will retain a motor vehicle driver’s license for both air side / non airside in good standing at all times
- Follow all safety guidelines set out by OSHA EPA FAA and management
- Keep GSE shop and its equipment clean and serviceable at all times, report any and all deficiencies to management
- Will communicate with Ramp management, customers and staff in a professional manner when needed
Qualifications and requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical/diesel/gas ground support equipment maintenance
- Certification of completion in one of the following trades: Heavy duty/Commercial or Automotive mechanic license is a plus
- Must have valid drivers' license.
- Must have the minimum tools as required.
- Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
- Must be willing to work any shift.
- Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
