School Bus Technician
LAUNCH TransTechs is looking for skilled diesel/gas technician to do preventative and routine maintenance on an extensive fleet of diesel powered vehicles, as well as assist with frequent DOT inspections regularly conducted in Richmond, CA.
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience
Shift: Mon. - Fri., 8 am - 5 pm
Job Duteis and Responsibilities:
- Routine and preventative maintenance on fleet of diesel powered transit buses and equipment.
- Build, rebuild and repair all parts of automotive equipment.
- Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, and any other breakdown or failure.
- Inspect equipment used.
- When applicable use welding skills.
- Help mentor current technicians at location, smaller location.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED & 3+ years of related equipment maintenance and repair.
- Must furnish own tools and steel toe boots.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a DOT drug test & DOT physical
- CDL, or ability to obtain.
- State Inspector License.
- ASE certificate preferred.
- Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience.
