Design Assurance – Principal EEE Parts Engineer – Space Avionics

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Design Assurance – Principal EEE Parts Engineer for an opportunity in Westminster, CO.

 

What You'll Do

  • Lead work with Design Assurance teams in the selection, evaluation, analysis and documentation of Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) parts.
  • Plan, direct, and review efforts of other Parts Engineers to support internal build requirements while working to cost and schedule constraints.
  • Perform Parts Engineering functions on complex space programs using industry proven techniques and principles.
  • Perform parts analysis for in-house electronics:
    • Evaluate EEE parts against program requirements (e.g. Screening, Qualification, and DPA).
    • Create detailed part drawings to meet program requirements.
    • Maintain Program Approved Parts Lists (PAPL’s).
    • Generate Non-Standard Part Approval Requests (NSPAR’s) to support internal build requirements.
    • Lead Parts Control Board (PCB) discussions with customers.
    • Perform data reviews as needed.
    • Review GIDEP Advisories and Alerts to determine program impact.
  • Leverage and maximize company standard parts library usage across programs and product class.
  • Assist Design Engineering and Supply Chain Management with part and vendor selections.
  • Write and present reports documenting analysis and anomaly results.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company.  Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary. 

What You'll Need

  • BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 12 or more years related experience.
  • Each higher-level related degree, i.e. Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of related experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education.  Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Active security clearance or ability to obtain one is required; TS/SCI is preferred.
  • Knowledge of TOR-level parts requirements is preferred. 

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, clean room, outdoors or remote research environment.
  • May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
  • May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
  • Travel and local commute between campuses and other possible locations may be required.
