Avionics Technician

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Avionics Techs for an opportunity in Greenville, South Carolina.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Performs operational checks, troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems in a quality manner and ensure the integrity and correct operation of affected avionics/ electrical systems affected during modification and maintenance of aircraft. Essential Functions (Other duties may be assigned as required)

 

Position is for the 2nd shift

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Reads and interprets engineering drawings, technical manuals, wiring diagrams understanding symbols flags and general notes.
  • Candidates MUST have C-130J testing experience
  • Performs operational checks and troubleshoots essential navigation and communication systems such as RADAR, TACAN, ADF, UHF, VHF, HF, VOR/ILS and systems such as aircraft fuel, aircraft hydraulic, aircraft lighting, aircraft landing gear, aircraft ordnance, engine fuel, engine oil, engine propeller and the entire electrical power distribution.
  • Candidate will provide shadowed toolbox with etched tools per minimum inventory and specifications as detailed by the company.
  • Works with several types of measuring devices and test equipment required for operational/functional checks and troubleshooting of aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
