Diesel Tech
Pay: $17-$29
We are currently looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our family.
The Diesel Mechanic’s responsibilities will include:
- Strong diagnostic abilities coupled with the ability to repair equipment with minimal down time
- Manage all required paperwork associated with each job
- Responsible for repair orders, maintenance files, and other shop related paperwork
- Maintain a fleet of 20 Kenworth tractors, to include PM’s & required DOT Annual Inspections
- Maintain a fleet of flatbed, step deck, double drop, & RGN trailers
- Maintain several specialized forklifts (Gantry / Kalmar / Tri-lift)
- Handle after-hour roadside breakdowns
- Ordering parts, shop supplies, equipment for trucks
- Forklift / Hydraulic cylinder experience a plus
- CDL a plus
This position will be a hands-on (get greasy) position with light management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have two (2) plus years of experience with heavy equipment, and the ability to repair and manage the paperwork associated with each job. This position will require paperwork and the use of Microsoft Outlook. This position will also require strong communication with management and dispatch operations. The ability to diagnose, plan, schedule, execute repairs, and return equipment to service in a timely manner will be paramount to the candidate’s success.
