Propulsion Engineer
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Propulsion Engineer for an opportunity in Baltimore, Maryland.
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include conducting torsional/vibration analysis of ship driveline/shafting systems IAW ABS NVR, MIL-STD-167-1 and MIL-STD-167-2A
- Conducting shafting alignment and driveline load analysis
- Review NAVSEA standard propulsion shafting specifications/drawings
- Support future updates to the various system flex analysis
Qualifications and requirements:
- BS Degree
- Software Familiarity
- SKF software (mentioned above)
- CAESAR II (mentioned above)Shipyard
- AutoCAD including drawing creation/development
- Navisworks and Ship constructor
