Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
We are looking for a qualified Shipping & Receiving professional for our facility up in Lake Zurich. We are an industry-leading Medical Device manufacturer and are working hard to keep our clients up and running and satisfied. This is a 1st shift role and pay is anywhere from $15 to $20/hour depending on experience.
Position Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator position performs shipping receiving in the production department in support of the department objectives to provide goods and services that meet customer’s requirements for quality, quantity and timeliness.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receives Materials from multiple sources and processes to incoming inspection and stores
- Prepares all documentation for shipping, ships product per customer requirements
- Coordinates with other departments the required documentation for all shipments
- Verifies accuracy of product receipts and outbound shipments by counting, weighing, measuring and comparing size, weight, description, part numbers and revisions with information on the packing list, purchase order, customer PO and order acknowledgment.
- Purchases non-inventory supplies
- Works with domestic and international carriers to ensure timely and accurate shipments
- Completed all transactions in ERP system as required
- Maintains cleanliness and accuracy of shipping and receiving area
- Assists in other work-related areas as required
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with ERP order entry systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with international shipping methods and regulations
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work performed
- Good work ethic, reliable and punctual
- Ability to work on a variety of tasks on a daily, weekly or monthly basis
- Experience utilizing 3PL (Fed-ex, UPS) to achieve customer requirements
- 2 year Associate Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 or more years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing logistics role
