Contract Process Engineer

 

We are currently looking to hire a full time Process Engineer for our manufacturing facility in Addison, IL. We are looking to interview and have someone start ASAP. The position pays $28 to $33p/hour on 1st shift. 

 

The main responsability will be to review technical drawings to write assembly instructions for the mechanical and electrical assmeblers. Will also train on assembly processes.

 

Summary Responsible for taking complex engineering documents and creating easy to follow work instructions for operators.  Responsible for establishing and documenting best practices for assembly and repair processes.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Develop, and optimize assembly and repair processes
  • Create work instructions based on engineering documentation, and process observations
  • Train operators in new processes
  • Audit processes to ensure they are followed
  • Support Manufacturing Engineers in their duties
  • Ensures personnel are following AS9100 Quality requirements.
  • Employee’s primary duties require him/her to use discretion and independent judgment.

Education and/or Experience                                            

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred in Manufacturing Engineering; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills                                           

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Reasoning Ability                                                    

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.

 

Computer Skills                                           

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software along with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and Solidworks

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

 

Other Skills and Abilities                                                    

Knowledge of assembly and machining standards.  Knowledge of industrial engineering practices.  Knowledge of design engineering process.  Knowledge of blue print reading.  Knowledge of industry specifications.
