Aircraft Inspector - Contract Hire
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Aircraft Inspectors with Civilian helicopter inspection experience for an opportunity in Belle Vernon, PA.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform various inspections on the aircraft during the maintenance process to ensure that the aircraft complies with the manufacturer’s specifications, maintenance manual procedures and FAA regulations, and ensure quality of workmanship, components and materials
- Ensure that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work and that the inspection records, reports, and forms used by the Repair Station are properly executed prior to releasing the product for return to service.
- To ensure that all maintenance is performed in accordance with FAA approved / accepted data, appropriate FAA regulations, manufacturers maintenance manuals, accepted industry standards and maintenance practices, and the operator’s manual.
- Assist in determining parts conformance and serviceability. • Assisting in Repair Station training, auditing and maintaining the Training Records
- Performing internal Repair Station audits and assisting with external audits of Repair Station suppliers and service providers.
- Performing in process inspections to ensure compliance with maintenance documentation and quality of workmanship.
- Generate return to service documents for aircraft records • Ensuring that all Repair Station activities are consistent with the limitations of the Repair Station certificate and manufacturer service center requirements.
- Perform random checks of Repair Station Manuals to ensure currency.
Qualifications and requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or advance instruction relative to technical field is preferred.
- Requires 5+ years’ experience performing inspection on civilian Boeing, Airbus, or Leonardo helicopters.
- Must have knowledge in the proper operation of a multimeters, oscilloscopes, RF signal generators, and soldering equipment.
- Must have electronic component level theory and be able to identify symbols on schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment and hand tools appropriate to the assigned tasks; general mechanics hand tools and appropriate tool box are required.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as assigned dependent on production needs
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
