Large Mill CNC Machinist
We are looking for a strong CNC Machinist to join our 1st shift team up in Rockford. We are a custom machine building company that specilizises within the Aerospace and Automotive industry. Pay will range from $50 to $65k/year depending on experience. Please see below for some more detail:
We are seeking a creative, driven and highly motivated CNC Machinist to join our team!
The ideal candidate has experience operating large CNC milling machines and has the ability to fine tune speeds and feeds so that required finishes and tolerances are achieved. Parts are up to 80 tons and 30 meters in length. The chosen candidate will be working on the first shift during the first year of training and, when independent, on the second shift.
Responsibilities:
- Read routings and blueprints to determine the proper set up procedure to be used.
- Set-up work piece on the table utilizing overhead crane. Load pre-set tooling into tool chains.
- Comfortable with running large precision parts. Some can get over a ton.
- Knowledge of 3 to 7 axis CNC Milling machines
- Familiar with holding tollerences between +/-.0001 to +/-.0005
- Make necessary adjustments to complete machining operations.
- Verify the completion of machining using precision measuring instruments.
- Work with supervision and engineering to correct drawing errors, which affect the quality and productivity of the company.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 60lbs daily.
