Yesterday, LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions, LLC unveiled and celebrated the adoption of a classroom at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance Chicago campus. In addition, LAUNCH announced several scholarships they are providing to current students at the campus. Through their nationwide network of campuses, the Aviation Institute of Maintenance provides hands-on training to students through their aviation maintenance programs. The Chicago campus, which opened in 2022, recently celebrated the graduation of its first class of aviation mechanics.
LAUNCH and AIM formalized their partnership in 2021 (https://www.launchtws.com/launch-and-aviation-institute-of-maintenance-announce-partnership/) and have since worked on a series of initiatives to connect newly trained aircraft technicians with LAUNCH clients who are hiring – in Chicago and across the nation.
Mike Reporto, LAUNCH Chief Commercial Officer, expressed his excitement, “We are thrilled to be unveiling the LAUNCH classroom at the AIM Chicago campus and even more excited to help provide scholarships to local AIM students. While we hire and work for clients across the nation, Chicagoland is our home. It has been amazing to see AIM become established here, and we know the students graduating from AIM Chicago will be a continuing source of talent for our clients locally and beyond. We thank AIM for their partnership, and we’re proud to see another LAUNCH classroom completed.”
Isaac Walters, Campus Director at AIM Chicago commented, “I am excited to have LAUNCH brand one of our classrooms. It gives our students an opportunity to get familiar with one of the leading companies in the aviation industry. This will be helpful upon their graduation and entrance into their careers. Our responsibility is to ensure that students are provided with the resources to be successful in and out of the classroom. Through partnerships and initiatives like this, we are able to showcase to the students that there are windows of possibilities on the horizon.”
LAUNCH is dedicated to helping new students find rewarding jobs in aviation maintenance. They work with clients to develop programs for new graduates to gain experience working with leading maintenance facilities upon graduation. About Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM)
AIM is part of a successful group of companies, which first began in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1969 and has grown to become a network of AIM campuses across the nation. We have maintained a tradition of excellence in education and workforce development throughout the expansion over more than four decades. AIM is well-known for providing high quality, hands-on training to our students in Aviation Maintenance programs. But as time went on, we saw other industry leaders demanding similar skills our aviation students have after graduating. To fill that need, we went beyond aviation to develop related industry technician programs.
