Oak Brook, IL, April 2, 2024 – With the ever-tightening demand for qualified aviation technicians, LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions and Aspire MRO have found new success through an exclusive partnership. The relationship, formalized in January of 2023, is focused on LAUNCH providing a Total Labor Management Solution to Aspire, including a dedicated Delivery Team (recruiting and program management) that is co-located and integrated into the Aspire operations.
Aspire MRO provides 777 passenger-to-freighter conversions and widebody heavy maintenance at their world class facility located in Ft. Worth, TX. As a newly formed MRO, a steady and significant ramp-up of qualified technicians was an important part of their overall success. They knew they needed to find a partner to assist with this goal, and they found LAUNCH to bring innovative ideas and a true partner mentality to their business.
Together, Aspire and LAUNCH have collaborated in solving the labor challenge to meet the short and long-term labor demands for the MRO. LAUNCH has succeeded in recruiting and hiring technicians as direct employees of Aspire as well as contingent labor and contingent-to-direct technicians. In addition, LAUNCH has provided pipeline development for Aspire technicians through the LAUNCH Academy – bringing in additional technicians from partner aviation schools, the Working Heroes program and the LAUNCH Global Access program. In the next stage of the partnership, the two are planning for LAUNCH TEAMS to become integrated into Aspire for defined workscope requiring top-level technicians and supervisors.
As a result, Aspire has met and exceeded the goals they laid out for their inaugural year. The site has ramped up to 200+ technicians and will be further expanding to their full capacity of five service lines and 500 technicians by the end of next year. As one of only two companies worldwide currently serving the 777 passenger-to-freighter market, Aspire is uniquely positioned to capitalize on the market and can feel confident in their strategic plan for the growth of the business.
