Diesel Technician

Pay: $17-$22

Shift: 2nd & 3rd Available

JOB DESCRIPTION

Title:  Diesel Technician        

Reports to: Fleet and Maintenance Manager

Job purpose: Service tractor/trailer and repair

Technicians are responsible in maintaining and repairing fleet equipment.  This includes tractors, trailers, and company service vehicles.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Service Equipment
• Inspect Equipment
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions
• Replace faulty parts
• Learn and follow safety procedures
• Correctly document all work completed

Servicing:

400 tractors

1,500 Trailers

2^nd shift Tues through Fri – 4:00pm to 2:00am (2 techs) four 10 hr. days

3^rd shift Tues through Fri – 9:00pm to 7:00pm (2 techs) four 10 hr. days

Off shift Sat, Sun, Mon 9:00pm to 7:00am three 13.3 hr. days.

2-5 years shop floor exp.

Preferred but not required: CDL, ASE and State Inspection
