Lead Mechanical Assembly Technician
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Lead Mechanical Assembly Technician for an opportunity in Wichita, Kansas.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sets-up and operates a variety of assembly tools, to include, but not limited to, drill presses, jigs, and fixtures.
- Seals parts.
- Drills, reams and countersinks holes in subassemblies, bolts, rivets, or otherwise fastens subassemblies into structural assembly using hand tools and Pneumatic tools.
- Installs hardware.
- Tracks inventory to ensure proper number of parts for assembly.
- Reads 2D blueprints and specs in full detail and understands them with ease.
- Use C-squeeze.
- Trains and oversees 3-5 Assemblers.
Qualifications and requirements:
- High School/ GED
- 3+ years of assembly experience.
- 1+ year of lead experience.
- Must be ITAR compliant.
- Boeing Bench-Top assembly experience highly preferred.
- Aerospace machine parts assembly experience required
- Ability to read and understand complex work instructions, blueprints, and specs
- Experience with all types of assembly tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Teamwork and the ability to work with diverse people and groups is required
- Must pass FAA background check and pre-employment urinalysis.
