Product Line Manager

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Product Line Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Wood Dale, Illinois.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a large Unison Industries (GE) product line. ~80 million in annual revenue.
  • Customer interfacing.
  • Owns P&L.
  • Purchasing, Planning, Pricing.
  • Owns OEM relationship.
  • Manage a team of 5-6.
  • Carry out tactical and operational objectives to support the distribution of a product line
  • Work with the manufacturing partner and sales team to bring technical product support to the end customer
  • Execute product line strategy by engaging with the sales team and customers to receive and analyze product feedback
  • Perform inventory forecasting and planning in accordance with a set budget
  • Manage inventory placement in foreign warehouses
  • Manages operational issues with receiving, quality control, and shipping
  • Supervisory responsibilities
  • Travel likely – once per month minimum to OEM.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Open to candidates outside of aviation. Good leader, self-starter with product life cycle management experience. Big picture; strategy manager.
  • Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in account management, sales, product management, engineering, manufacturing or inventory planning required.
  • Prior experience in the aviation industry a plus.
  • Prior direct supervisory experience a plus.
  • Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
  • Must be willing to work any shift.
  • Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
