Industrial Engineer III

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Industrial Engineer III for an opportunity in Gainesville, TX

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide support to leads and operators in the assembly and/or fabrication areas. Provide information and support for process improvement. Plan, structure and implement manufacturing programs.
Support manufacturing assembly and fabrication to trouble shoot both assembly and fabrication problems. This requires close interaction with assembly personnel, fabrication personnel, and their supervision. Must support all lean manufacturing improvements and may require participation in lean improvement activities. Must also work closely with Quality Assurance, Program Management, Engineering, and shop Managers

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Requires sufficient training to permit ready comprehension of problems having to do with production methods and facilities.
  • Must be capable of preparing well-written and orderly reports.
  • Must have sufficient knowledge of manufacturing and related operations with detailed knowledge of such fields as product design, engineering function, tool design, tool fabrication, space layout, handling equipment, production machinery and equipment, N/C machinery and equipment, factory methods work, etc.
  • Must have knowledge of trigonometry, algebra and statistics.
  • Must be proficient in inventory management, product data management, monitoring production control and cost, and in manufacturing resource planning.
  • Strong knowledge of motion and time study principles
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing.
  • Strong PC skills, knowledge of all Microsoft software
  • Able to lead teams of people towards focused and defined objectives
  • Strong Working knowledge of AutoCad
  • Strong knowledge of motion and time study principles

Education and/or Experience:

  • Must have a B.S degree in a related technical field (eg: IE, ME, EE) or an Associate degree with 3 years related experience or 6 years of job related experience.
  • Additionally 12 years of manufacturing/industrial engineering experience.
  • State registered professional engineer’s license in BSME, BSMfgE, BSEE, or BSIE and twelve (12) years of manufacturing experience.
