Is a mid level technician performing a variety of moderately complex duties that include responsibility for vehicle and equipment repair, overhaul, and maintenance duties, to equipment and vehicles. Distinguishing characteristics include superior mechanical aptitude with some diagnostic, functional skills with ability for organization and detail. Fleet Maintenance Technician II works under general supervision and while technicians require some supervision in most assignments, they able to develop their own work sequences within established procedures, methods and policies. They are generally subject to periodic supervisory checks. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
