Diesel Technicians = Total Needed 1 as of 10/17/2017 TEC Equipment Inc - La Mirada is a Volvo and Mack heavy-duty, full service truck dealership (Contract to Hire 180 Days) website: www.tecequipment.com ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS -Perform parts, components, systems and machine inspections to diagnose diesel engines; identify the cause of failure through troubleshooting steps; Repair or replace parts as needed -Identify and maintain vehicle records and warranty repairs by documenting services. -Clean truck of all grease and footprints before it is returned to the customer; Dispose of failed parts, fluids and other waste in a manner that is considerate of the environment. -Follow all company policies, procedures, and OSHA, safety and EPA regulations -Must use all safety equipment necessary for the job REQUIRED -At least one year of experience as a heavy duty diesel mechanic is required. -Must demonstrate proficiency in the repair and diagnosis of; engine, power train, differentials, transmissions,clutches and drive shafts, electrical systems, HVAC systems, steering systems, and brakes -Basic computer skills -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance -Minimum of 18 years of age -Associated Degree in Diesel Technology a plus in no way required. Pay: $20-$26 P/H DOE Class 8 Maintenance Experience 2 Shift Available: Day 7AM-3:30PM M-F or Swing 2:30PM-11:30PM M-F -30 minute lunch -This is a large facility so they also mentioned that for the right candidate they could also accomodate a mid shift which would be from 11AM-7PM. -Weekends could be asked so having flexiblity or openess to working on a Sat is helpful.
