Sr Data Analyst

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Sr Data Analyst for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain efficient data models from innumerable data sources creating intuitive and insightful visual dashboards that vividly express metrics and KPIs.
• With guidance and requirements from business unit leaders / stakeholders, the Sr Data Analyst will master various data platforms and use to build actionable reporting and visual presentations.
• Conduct thorough data analysis and implement visualization best practices.
• Design visually interactive and actionable dashboards using data visualization tools.
• Identify and implement improvements to existing processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and performance.
• Analyze and understand data and identify data issues and anomalies, document them and work with data owners to put processes in place to correct them.
• Based on stakeholder change or enhancement request, assess data availability, technique, and tool usage to best satisfy the need.
• Support business decision-making with innovative problem-solving methods via insightful data mining and analysis.
• Understand the needs of Senior Executives to present the results that can be easily consumed and acted upon.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) years professional work experience with designing in Tableau, data analysis, information science, and data visualization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Business/Management, Mathematics/Statistics or other relevant quantitative field required.
• Understanding of process and metric correlation is required.
• Advanced computer, analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills is highly desired.
• Understanding of statistics, data analysis techniques, simulation, and design language strongly preferred.
• Able to convey professional image with an ability to lead, manage, and communicate to all levels of associates in a team environment.
• Ability to effectively manage and deliver on projects.
• Must be a self-starter and capable of working independently with little instruction or supervision.
• Must be comfortable working in group and individual settings.
• Successful candidates will have familiarity and/or experience with some or all of the following:
  • Mandatory of three (3) plus proven years of experience designing Tableau dashboards.
  • SQL, SAS, R, Power BI, or other database interface tools and languages.
  • Visual Basic, Perl, Python or other basic functional programming tools.
  • Statistical analysis and modeling including Linear Regression, Segmentation, and non-linear predictive (e.g. Logistic) regression
